fine dining

I don't know why I am writing this, but maybe I've been watching too much Rachael Ray...

Monday, 4 Sep (Labor Day) - Dallas airport, finally flying home - microwaveable chicken sandwich, $1 at the USO

Sunday, 3 Sep - Randy's house in Colo Springs - bbq'd meat goodness, more or less free

Saturday, 2 Sep - CSprings - THE best carne asada burritos in the world, $3 each at Viva el Taco... haven't eaten there in 3 years, ever since I went to school here. Absolutely heavenly

Friday, 1 Sep - CSprings - Cheese crackers at the Dallas USO as an appetizer. After landing in CO, all u can eat at Xtreme Pizza, parents picked up the tab... pizza was ok but 'free' bumped it up to great

Thursday, 31 Aug - Orlando - $6 large popcorn at Pleasure Island movie theater... Beerfest not a good movie

Wednesday, 30 Aug - Orlando - after working out, my hotel room service gave me a disgusting pizza for $25... I ate it anyway since the only thing I had BEFORE running 16 miles was a muffin in the morning... after the pizza I became comatose on the hotel room floor

Tuesday, 29 Aug - Orlando - $30 steak dinner at Black Angus, a self-treat after scuba diving at the Epcot aquarium w/ Chris. We swam with a few sharks and turtles along the viewing windows and watched people eat their seafood dinners in the underwater restaurant. Needless to say the steak is what I preferred after 3 hours of hanging out w/ fish.

Monday, 28 Aug - Coco beach - leftovers at Aunt Heidi's... I had decided earlier to go running from Coco to Kennedy Space Center along the bridged highway... well, Kennedy security didn't think that was such a good idea... After getting through about 4 miles I was stopped by a trooper, and 'escorted' back to my car as they took the shuttle off the ramp to avoid the hurricane

Sunday, 27 Aug - Interstate 95 - $2 gas station burritos on the drive to Coco. Write it off as road trip food

Saturday - hypersleep

Friday, 25 Aug - Dallas airport, flying home - microwaveable chicken sandwich, $1 at the USO... food at the USO is actually free, but I always donate a buck, those guys hook us up

Thursday, 24 Aug - Boise, ID - Golden Corral buffet, $10... it's nasty, it's borderline scary, but after testing off-road vehicles in the mountains all day, we kinda craved it... and the ice cream sundae mountains make me feel like I'm 6 again.

Wednesday, 23 Aug - Los Angeles - just down the street from Rodeo Dr, a lil place called the Crustacean... the nicest restaurant I have ever been to. Price: free. Well, for us... but we kinda knew the owner. Long story.

Tuesday, 22 Aug - L.A. - Thai food w/ the family, "free". Was actually in L.A. on business, but my brother was going back to school same week, got to chill w/ him at Loyola for a while

Monday, 21 Aug - home - remaining leftover rice and beans out of my fridge... if you do all the math, about $1. Roommates make fun of me for eating rice and beans all the time. I make fun of them for spending an hour cooking expensive food and not having any leftovers =)

Thanks Rachael, for all you've done for me
