Kinda got winded after sorting through all these great memories. I'll have to follow up later with my thoughts. But I'll give you some captions and musings in the here and now. Mike and Chris took these pictures. Without them, there would be no story for you. First full day, we set out towards the Sacred Valley

I had never ridden a bike hard in the dirt before this day… probably good I learned since I basically own a giant dirt bike back home






City driving is the easy part… in the fields, you have to make sudden stops for cows, sheep, dogs…

Getting close to the Sacred Valley

Finally getting used to the thin air – but as evening closes I feel a squirrel in my stomach




Day 1 of the hike to Machu Picchu, and I get sick that morning

Last solid thing I was able to stomach for the next day and a half

Figured the altitude sickness and lack of eating merited a break in the 6,000 ft climb

Mike caught this before I left the guys. It has Peru in the foreground and Bolivia in the background across Lake Titicaca. The last three days of the trip I followed my inklings and darted off to Bolivia with my Aussie compadres. Sooner or later I'll have those pics. Mike, Chris, and Kurt took a beautiful trip back up the Peruvian coastline. Check out their albums if you're curious about those amazing sights.
