I was feeling pretty organic the other day. Since I was too lazy to make it myself, I picked up a fresh garden blended pot of salsa from the market. The kind of batch made with huge fresh tomatoes so sweet you can feel the fruity acid carving an emulsion of flavors into the canals of your tongue. Something about that sweet juice made it possible to distinguish in full clarity each of the other ingredients swimming around in my boca.
Sometimes it would be nice to have some of that sweet yet tenacious agent working within my experiences, untangling the mix of perceptions that flail past the open lips of my spirit… answering my questions by revealing chunks of this resounding idea, Truth, which 6.6 billion of us wish we could know.
Oh well…
Here are a few questions I stared in the face this week:
- Are human feelings 100% explainable by science and observation?
- Aren't the scientific method, logic, and rationality… all man-made?
- Has the West pigeon-holed itself into one-sided thinking on just about everything? Industry, government, religion… isn't that what Rome did…
- Is Absolute Truth something man will eventually discover using only the abilities and resources nature has provided him?
- What does a quark look like?
- My dog jumped three feet in the air every day when I got home this week, even though I barely had any time to spend with him when I was in the house… does that mean he has more of a capacity for love than a lot of people when they are temporarily abandoned?
- Why is adrenaline one of those things you never build up a tolerance to… same as crazy love... how do you help someone with a dopamine imbalance...
- Are love letters worth it?
- Do Kenyans think English is beautiful? Because I think Swahili is amazing…
- Why do I choose to follow my heart, even while it fights my natural instinct of self-preservation?
If you call my name out loud
Do you suppose that I would come running
I suppose I would...
